This project was to plant and turf four gardens of various sizes from scratch.

As the gardens were different; some were shaded, some would be in full sun for most of the day, it was important to make sure the right plant types were used in each garden. Our plant expert drew on his knowledge and experience and made recommendations as to which plants would thrive in each garden.

 

The first job was to level the gardens and prepare for planting, we used conditioned topsoil. Once this was done we could proceed with the marking out of the beds and plant with the recommended plants, care was taken to ensure the correct plants were in each bed. The beds were then dressed with bark chippings to finish.Preparation of the areas to be turfed was then completed and good quality turf was then laid to complete each garden. We were hindered on this project by the weather, we had a fair amount of rain.

 

This job took two guys just two days to complete all four gardens. This was despite the weather, but once again we were able to bring in this job both on time and on budget !
