After completing  the construction of the decks with the astro turf inlays and the raised beds. The next step was to construct the raised patio/slabbed deck to be set between the other two decks, these areas would be linked  using the same slabs laid to a pattern, to achieve coninuity within the areas.

We set out the base using colour matched bricks. A good base of hardcore was laid and then the slabs were laid onto a bed of mortar, ensuring the area was level. The pattern was simple yet striking.

The raised areas were linked by laying colour co-ordinated slabs to a similar pattern, this ensured continuity with the design. The area between the decks was dressed with plum slate for the finishing touch. The raised beds were planted and dressed with chipped bark.

Above are a couple of photo's of the car park area, the ground was leveled and laid with good quality turf a few trees were planted in the grassed area too. The beds were created in a freeform style, they had  various sized monoliths set into them, planted and dressed with cotswold stone.

Everything is going to plan, the show arena is really taking shape and the next phase is now under way.

  • This looks amazing, A stunning display and once in play looks like it would be easy to maintain. A great looking garden and low maintenance sounds good to me.
